The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard describing how AI assistants and agents access external data sources and tools. An MCP server exposes content or functions; any MCP-capable AI system can use them, regardless of the model vendor.

For enterprise knowledge, this is the key building block of agent readiness: instead of building a separate integration for every assistant, the knowledge base is exposed once as an MCP server. Copilots, internal chatbots, and autonomous agents then all draw on the same verified knowledge.

The quality question stays the same as with RAG: an agent that accesses stale repositories via MCP acts on stale grounds. Omnora Intelligence Management therefore exposes the validated knowledge base directly as an MCP server, with an owner, validity date, and origin per knowledge object.
